Handbag Trends for Fall/Winter 2017/2018

Fur bags

Bags completely covered with fur, or partially covered with fur and combined with other materials, like leather, brocade & there is a lot of color blocking. Fashion designers include London designer Alessandra rich, Alice and Olivia, Altuzarra, Anya hindmarch, Blumarine, Custo Barcelona, Dolce and Gabbana, Fendi, Spanish designer Ion fiz, La Perla, Max Mara, Miu Miu, Pascal millet, Tod’s, Tommy Hilfiger, Tory Burch, Milly, etc.


A lot of pouches on the runway, mostly embellished. They are really good for the evening ocassions, parties and weddings. Lanvin, Marc Jacobs, Molly Goddard, See by Chloe, Tod’S, Zadig Voltaire, Giorgio Armani, etc.

Round bags

They were one of the most loved handbag shapes for fashion designers last season and for this season, it just got better. Coming in different sizes, textures, shapes making it suitable for work, parties, mall etc. Aigner, Delpozo, Mulberry, Olympia le tan, Colectivo diseno mexicano, John Galliano & Giorgio Armani.

Embellished bags

I noticed that this season came with a kind of specific embellishments- pearls, crystals, studs and beads. Zac zac posen, Toga, Valentino, Prada, Les copains, Delpozo, Alexander wang, etc.

Bucket bags

Bucket bags have been in existence for like ages, there are very tiny ones for evening events, the large ones for putting as many things as your want and the medium size ones like that of Balmain for not too large things. Annakiki, leonard, Books brothers, Paco Rabanne, Xu zhi, etc.

Unusual bags

Cupboard shaped bag from Dolce & Gabbana, trash cans from Moschino, rockets, camera, fish, dogs, a leaf. This is the first time am seeing so many fashion designes adopting this unsual bag trends in one season. Thom browne, Manish Arora, etc.
